A formal function was held at the school which saw numerous old boys, staff, board members, governing body members, DHS Foundation members, special guests and representatives from surrounding schools in attendance.
The proceedings were well received with enlightening speeches presented by special guest and old boy, Chris Seabrooke; CEO of the DHS Foundation, Mr Mike Fennell; DHS Head Master, Leon Erasmus; the current Head Prefect, Liam Whitfield; the 2016 Head Prefect Mvumeleni Mathenjwa, and a vote of thanks was done by 2016 Deputy Head Prefect, Joshua Spooner.
In 2016, DHS will host a number of special occasions and festivals in celebration of their 150th milestone. Included in the celebrations will be new developments including a new Mathematics and Science as well as a new music centre.

In future years, we promise to continue to uphold the schools heritage and strive for a centre of excellence that produces great leaders for the future of South Africa," stated Head Master, Mr Leon Erasmus.
